Research is the most important part of entire SEO itself. To be successful in the SEO field, we must come to choose the right keywords. Keyword research is the base of Search Engine Optimization.  All the techniques of SEO that are applied after the keyword research is discussed.

But what is this Keyword Research?

Keyword Research is a process in which we First of all, we try to find out what is related to our business, service or product, from which angle are words, statements or phrases, People who enter (by searching) on ​​search engines (such as Google, Yahoo, etc.) After that we choose the right keywords for ourselves based on volume and competition. How to find keywords for your website?

Before generating keyword ideas, understand that Your keywords are based on your niche and on your goals, which you want to achieve. While creating keyword ideas  relating to products, services, or interests that appeal to a small, special section of the population. Every website or blog has to identify its niche (website related words).

Now you must have a little brainstorming to get keywords for your website. Think about the related keywords related to your business. Later we will also get help with online available tools. First of all, people are searching on search engines to get answers. Like if I deal in shoes

So my head keyword – SHOES

May be niche for me (i.e. body keywords) –

men shoes, kid shoes, ladies footwears etc. Or, sports shoes, partywear shoes,  casual shoes etc. I will create these ideas by creating bases. With everybody keyword I can generate many tail keywords –

  • men shoes

 

  • men shoes online
  • men shoes sale
  • men shoes size chart
  • shoes for men casual
  • shoes for men formal etc.

Here we have to be reminded that we talked about three types of keywords –

Head keywords –

Which are single words. Eg – shoes or book etc. There are some characteristics of these head keywords. Their search volume is very large.  If you are thinking, then stop trying to target them. Compact is also very high and it does not even convert well.This means if your website’s domain authority is not very high like- amazon, facebook etc., then do not select these keywords.

Do not waste your time and energy on these head keywords

Body Keywords –

These keywords are usually made up of two words such as sports shoes or school books

There are some characteristics of these body keywords too –

  • There is a decent search volume on body keywords.
  • The competition also happens at the middle level.
  • The head keywords are more likely to have their chances of being converted.

Tail keywords (Long tail keywords) –

These keywords use 2+ words (more than two words) – men shoe sale or buy old school books.

The characteristics of the Long tail keywords are very interesting –

  • Their search volume is very low l like – less then 1000 searches.
  • Most people are searching only in the form of tail keywords.
  • This is the best-converting keywords.
  • It’s easy to rank these Top 3 positions on selecting these keywords and SEO.

 

If your website is new, then you should use Combination Body and long tail keywords. Do not target long tail keywords for all pages of your website. Google Panda will be penalized.

How to Use Ubersuggest Step by Step

Ubersuggest is the free keyword tool.  It is also very easy to use. You have to put your main keyword in its search box and it will tell you about many long tail keywords related to it.

  • By visiting ubersuggest’s website, enter your keyword.
  • Suppose I enter school books –
  • So within a few seconds it found me 339 and related keywords.
  • List of new suggested keywords
  • There is a triangle with every keyword.

And in this we will click on the Expand keyword, and long tail keyword suggestions will show.

 

How to Use Keywordtool.io 

Keywordtool.io is also very good tool to fund longtail keywords. With this tool, you can find all the keywords you search on just google, youtube, Bing, Amazon, ebay and app store. In its free version it generates a lot of keyword ideas for us. It neither tells us the search volume of keywords nor the CPC.

How to Use Google Auto complete tool 

That is, by using the Google Search bar, we can also look for keywords that people search for most on Google. Meaning Google itself will tell us high search volume keywords
